Kristine Miller Counseling

Compassionate support during life’s most difficult times

We are living in a challenging time, and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. But you don’t have to keep struggling. It is possible to feel better and to enjoy life more…for you and for the ones you love.

Hi! I’m Kristine Miller, Licensed Mental Health Counselor…

My goal as a therapist is to understand your personal struggles, to identify your unique strengths, and to create a foundation of healing for the most challenging areas of your life. It is possible to feel better and finding a therapist you trust is the first step. You probably know how you want to feel, but you may need support and guidance getting there. I am honored to gently assist clients on their journey of healing and achieving a happier life. While it takes dedication and work, I strive to make the process light and clear.

Everyone experiences times of struggle throughout their life and can benefit from the support of an accepting, respectful and supportive therapist. We often just need a safe place to process what we are feeling and new coping skills. Using individualized, strength-based techniques, I help clients compassionately recognize and observe difficult feelings, and to identify and implement positive, lasting change.

I specialize in working with women experiencing anxiety, stress, sadness or difficulty with self-image. I also work with women in stages of transition: the transition from high school to college, college to career, motherhood, empty nest, and retirement. Life is constantly changing, and change can be hard. Whatever transition you’re experiencing, I am here to help. If you think we’d be a good fit, schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. I’d love to learn more about you.

  • Therapy for Anxiety

As much as you try to turn off the worry, it can feel impossible to shake the feelings of fear and dread. But there is hope! Over time you can make small changes to the way you think and live a life with more ease and less worry.

  • Mindfulness Therapy

When you develop a mindfulness practice and use effective coping skills, mental health falls in place. The science of mindfulness demonstrates meditation’s ability to reduce anxiety & depression, influence habit change, and improve self-image.

  • Counseling for College Students

Balancing academic and social demands can lead to exhaustion, anxiety and sadness. There is no instruction manual on how to be an adult, but the support of a trusted therapist can help you start feeling like your best self and adjust to your life as a college student.

  • Therapy for Moms

Being a parent can be wonderful and incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel isolating and difficult at times. As mothers, we can feel as if we’ve lost parts of our identity. But when we work to form a deeper connection to ourselves, this connection benefits not only us, but our loved ones as well.
